| Smiley Selected Vice-President/President Elect of PIABA
Brian N. Smiley, of Smiley Bishop & Porter, LLP, was selected as Vice-President/President Elect of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association. PIABA, founded in 1990, is an international bar association of approximately 500 attorneys which is dedicated to promoting the interests of investors who are subject to mandatory arbitration of disputes against securities brokerage firms. Smiley has been a director of PIABA for 3 years and is just completing his fifth year as a public member of the National Arbitration and Mediation Committee, which advised the board of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (formerly known as the NASD).
